I was taught that if I studied hard and got good grades, I would get a good job and earn a decent salary.
I did just that. I didn’t always succeed at getting a job with minimum wage. So I continued my education for a doctorate. After graduation, I received a good dressing down to humiliate me when I applied for a job at an institution. I wasted my time, money and future. I should have tried other paths.
