I’m joining Hello Monday with Holly and Sarah. Fresh from the weekend, I’m going to write about my Saturday trip into town. I usually travel by bus, train and cab to do my chores in town.
My first destination was the bookstore, to buy two newspapers. I also browse its magazine shelves. If I find a useful mag, that would be a bonus for me.
If you’re British, you may be familiar with Financial Times, or more affectionately known as the F.T. Its Weekend Edition is good reading material. At least, according to my opinion. In love its Life and Arts section.
My second newspaper purchase is The New York Times, Weekend Edition. This is like a hit and miss. Sometimes, a good article gets me reading. I buy this mainly for someone in my family, who is a faithful fan of NYT.
Next, I did my grocery shopping. Lugging a few bags, I walked to the taxi stand. I was in luck. There was a cab waiting for its fare. Usually, I had to wait quite a while for an empty cab.
Back home, its back to my usual pastimes of cooking, reading, and the internet. (* Repeat this line when you read an *)
