Flashback Friday #FBF May 30 2025

A fortnight ago, I went for a walk and saw this man made pond almost right beside the river. The pond’s water was uncontaminated by silt. Its water is independent from the river, which often turns murky due to silt and mud washed down from a long distance higher upstream.

Small pond of water beside the river.

This is what I meant when I wrote that the river’s water has turned murky.

Thick vegetation along river bank.

  1. Whoa! I’d definitely pick the pond! That river is so murky. Where I used to live, whenever I took pics of our river, it was always brown (yuk) unless it was a clear blue-sky day and then the sky would reflect in the water giving it a clean blue look!
