How to do Equanimity Meditation

You focus on your breathing. Breathe in, and breathe out. If you must think of a thought, think about relaxing. Or think about how you’re releasing the impulse to obtain that strangely frivolous and attractive thing. That is not much use to you. Imagine the difficulty and pain of spending money. Remember how you have to scrap to get by. Feel yourself slowly loosening you grip on that thing. You are winning this battle in yourself.
