Dreams and Healing: A Succinct and Lively Interpretation of Dreams by John A Sanford: book review

About half this book explains how to understand dreams. This knowledge is common among writings in psychology. The remaining half shares dreams from one man and one woman. They were patients of Sanford, who was trained in Jung’s psychoanalysis. The man and woman are not related to each other.

Why do some people remember dreams while others don’t? Busy people have their short term memory displaced by current events so they don’t recall dreams. People with less on their minds are likely to remember their dreams.

Sanford said dreams can come from three levels and they are:

  1. Daily life
  2. Personal unconscious
  3. Collective unconscious.

This book was interesting even if it rehashed facts.
