I would wear a night dress on hot nights but a pair of pyjamas on cold nights. I think and feel a long or short night dress allows air ventilation better than a top and bottom PJ.
While the British call it a night dress, the rest of the world may be more familiar calling it the night gown.
Back in the day when people used to go marketing and breakfast wearing their PJs, nobody batted an eyelid. Now, only young kids are excused when they wear night wear during the day.
I know a woman who sleeps in her daywear, so that she can go out to send her child to school, without having to rush to change her clothes. We should have the day-and-night wear together for convenience and time saving.
