Do you leave your body when you dream?

I believe I don’t leave my body when I dream.

My opinion is that I wouldn’t want to leave myself. I prefer to be in control. There are boundaries and limitations for everyone.

I used to hear stories of some people believing that when they sleep and dream, they leave this realm and are traveling outside their bodies. When some people talk in their sleep, I don’t hear anything extraordinary. It is always a repeat of what they used to say in waking life. I interpret this as meaning sleeping people don’t travel far to new places or why else would they be speaking about old issues?

Then again, I’m only writing about the dimension of sleep and dreams.

  1. Dreams are not an out-of-body experience. One can sense high or low temperatures or a bladder-full signal while asleep.
