Chilly atmosphere betrayed the presence of another.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh” and the scream alerted her to the presence of another being. The mournful wailing resounded with deep echo. She looked around intensely to locate the source of the voice. There was no one to be seen in the vicinity of this dimension. A gust of wind blew and she shivered in the chilly atmosphere. She knew she wasn’t alone.

nice work setting the scene (as subjective an experience as possible). have always liked the movie special effect of one seeing their own breath, as the apparition approaches.

There have been times I am sure there was something or someone in the room I could not see.
It’s an antagonistic atmosphere at best.

Nice six. I often wonder if we’re alone or not.
I think it is a warning to inform what its like to be in that position. I believe its held captive in a dimension where normal living people don’t access. The scream may be a call for help, for release. Religions have mentioned dimensions where souls are involuntarily sent after death of the physical body.
I believe there are multiple planes of existence. Ours is but one.
