DIY Crafts:
This is a collage of hand embroidery, applique and sewn on wool threads. The embroidery is an anthropomorphism of a cat. She is beautiful in a purple themed dress with puffed up upper sleeves stitched from flower spangled fabric, co-ordinating purple colored bodice and tie dyed skirt. The collage is stitched on a cotton tote bag.
Why this art was made:
I saw a picture of the dress in a hand applique book. I admired the idea of a shapely cat anthropomorphism wearing a pretty dress. This picture was born. I used wool strands for hair.
