I got to know Tim Wickenden on Twitter. I was curious about his works so I decided to buy his books. Please give @TimWickenden1 a follow.
The author is well schooled on the infrastructure of plotting a crime novel. Whether you are a novice or experienced writer, you’ll enjoy reading Angel Avenger.
The prologue sets a small portion of the backdrop. I took some time to realise how Angelika had journeyed into the present and is addressing old griefs by killing their cruel abusers. The perfect revenge was done. Or was it? She returned to the scene and that proved to be her undoing. Witnesses saw her and her van. The perfect crime scene was let down by curiosity and a burning conscience.
In the second murder, Christian’s identity is confirmed when he taunts his former abuser with these words, “Do you remember me? You forgot. Kids grow up.” We make the connection to the prologue.
The chapter titles are cryptic and incubate interest. Chapters alternate between the avengers and the police.
To be continued.
