What is Macrobius famous for?
He is best known fir his writings, written around 1500 – 1600 years ago. He said that sleep has five categories of dreams. They are
- Prophetic vision (predictions of the future)
- Nightmare
- Ghostly apparition
- Enigmatic dream (mysterious and difficult to understand)
- Oracular dream (messages sent to a medium like a priest, through which advice was asked from gods)
