We can imagine it is noisy outside the window of someone who complains of noise and hearing voices all the time.
Why, there are voices outside her window. She can hear her neighbors talking. A man is talking about her. He talks about hatching a conspiracy to harm her by getting her into trouble. She doesn’t like the suite she’s staying in. It is very tiny. It is actually a bedroom, with a narrow kitchen and bathroom at the back. The wall between suites is very thin. She can hear her neighbor’s TV. She can also hear him talking. That was bad for her.
She’s going to telephone the manager to complain. She doesn’t want to stay here. She wants to change her rental unit. She plans to call a logistics company to come and fetch her boxes and put them into storage in a warehouse.
“Hello, Mr. X? I’m your customer from Room 100. It is very noisy here. I can hear my neighbor next door talking loudly. I don’t want to stay here.”
“No. I don’t think you can hear your neighbor.”
” I can hear him and his TV. “
“I’m sorry but I can’t do anything about it.”
He cut the line.
After a while, the man next door spoke loudly. “That wasn’t me. I didn’t talk about her. She doesn’t know it but that wasn’t me.”
She didn’t believe him. He didn’t know how to explain to her that she had a personal problem, like hallucination, which induced her to think that others were talking about her.
