This is Helen’s question prompt for May 7 2025. My answer is I would rather be bored. I can spend time chilling. I prefer to be bored reading a book. I can draw boring pictures, or paint my older pencil drawings.
I don’t want to be too busy because it is stressful.
There was a time when I made myself busy with my hobby, to prepare a pile of submissions for an exhibition. I did my regular work, my chores and then spent all my free time creating art. That big project didn’t work out because the organizer didn’t like me depending on one exhibition to launch my range of art works.
I changed after that self-induced period of busyness failed to proceed in the direction I desired. Now, I spend my free time blogging or painting for other purposes which are not dependent on another person’s promotion.
