The question is “How much time do you spend outside daily?”

Helen asked this question prompt for May 4 2025’s writing journal.

She took a bus to the news stand to buy the day’s paper.

My answer is that I can’t state accurately the amount of time I spend outside every day. I used to work outside but have stopped. Now I work indoors on my computer. On weekdays, I do need to go out to run errands. These typically require at least 2 1/2 hours each. That’s the time required for traveling to the venue via public transport, performing the procurement of the item, and then traveling back by cab because I need to carry some bags.

If I run two errands, then the time I need is added by 1 – 2 hours. You can imagine using 4 1/2 hours to run two errands at two different venues. Half a day is gone.

She collected the parcel from the locker and walked to the bus stop.

The two sets of doodles show me running two different errands at two places. Then I take a bus home.

This is how I typically spend my time when I’m outside home, running errands.
