I’m writing this as part of a Challenge series on meditation on Psalms. Now I’m focusing on psalm 3. After reading it through, I chose line 5:
“I lie down and sleep;
I wake again because the Lord sustains me.”
On the nights that I got disturbed, I lie down without sleep. I desire to sleep but there is a force that prevents me from sleeping. I’m always kept awake for at least 3 hours. When I’m finally permitted to fall asleep, I can wake again, even though I’m very sleepy, because the Lord helps me.
