This week’s writing prompt is “tag”; as in tag, you’re it.
How would I go about writing a six sentence story with a prompt?
(1) Brainstorm for ideas. Use my 5 senses for inspiration. How do my eyes relate to “tag”?
- I recall playing “Tag, you’re it!” when I was a child.
- Here is my version of the game we played.
- I was lousy at the game.
- I wasn’t quick enough to spot those hiding and running and if I did, I had to run up to them and hit them with a “tag”, before they ran away.
- Players were delighted when it was me at catcher, because I was slow.
- Eventually, they would tire of not being chased for tagging and they would nominate another “tagger”.
You can write your own Sunday Six Sentence Story with “tag” and link up with the host Denise at https://girlieontheedge1.wordpress.com in her new Wednesday post.
(2) If you’re still raking your brain for ideas, think of your other senses like smell, hearing, taste, touch, and your sixth sense intuition.
(3) Other boosters for inspiration would be to think of your associations with the word “tag”. What do you think of when you see this word? Your associated memories offer a rich treasure trove of ideas for writing.
(4) Why should anyone participate in any blog prompt? It helps you improve your blog’s SEO. You link out to the host’s url. The host will reciprocate with a return link to your blog. You’ll receive incoming traffic from readers in this hop, plus readers from blog feeds. If you make comments in other blogs in this hop, you’ll receive their return visits. Readers might linger around and click on your other posts too.
Have fun. Visit another blogger to tag them with an invite to this SSSS blog hop.
Thank you.
