Meditating on Thankfulness Oct 27 – 30 2025

I’ve been meditating on my Ten Things of Thankfulness (TToT) for this week of Oct 27 – 30.

I’ll write about my thanksgivings for the animal welfare group who did a road show to encourage adoption of felines. If it was not for them, I would not have seen these cute cats and kittens. In fact, everybody who crowded around the display, was thankful the cats came to visit us at the mall.

Cats and kittens were in mobile tent pet carriers. The screen nets allowed viewing. Interested people could request for the handlers to unzip the tent to pet the cat.

This adult cat was large.

The young cat, like the adult cat, appeared shy. Although the area was cordoned off to put distance between the cats and the crowd, still, the cats saw and felt many humans around and acted shy.

Another ginger/ orange young cat was popular with a child. His parents were not with him or else he could have persuaded them to adopt ginger. Ginger was apprehensive and refused to leave the safety of its confines, to be carried by the boy.

I couldn’t get a shot of the tent with the kittens because many people crowded around the screen. Kittens didn’t know how to be shy. Instead they were clamoring for attention.

List of thanks #1 and #2

  1. Seeing cats and kittens.
  2. Being able to snap some photos of the felines.

More thanksgiving: Thanks for #3 and #4

I’m glad the blogger of https://How-would-you-know.com talked about the upcoming annual A-Z Challenge in April 2026. I commented that I did participate in 2025. That opened a Pandora box and some curious readers searched for my post on A-Z Challenge. Thank you, readers! Thank you, Humanist55.

How Would You Know about fabrics if you don’t read about them? Blogger Humanist55 has identified his Challenge theme for 2026 and its …. fabrics. He has accumulated some 209 fabrics for the 2026 challenge and blog hop. He has been blogging the Challenge for several years. He writes interesting TToT posts too.

Thanksgiving #5

I’ve loosely decided on writing very short poems for A – Z Challenge 2026. I’ve written one for alphabet A. I think that’s a sign that I might keep on going until Z. If any reader wants to join A- Z blog challenge, please drop a comment here.

Thanks for #6

We had a storm that dropped like half a bucket’s depth of water. That, multiplied by many buckets, equals a few days’ worth of watering.

Thanks #7

I found an interesting book about a character experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Only that the writing disguised the symptoms, because it isn’t good to use mental disorders as plot drivers.

Thanks #8

This dove has made a nest in a clump of bushy young trees. It volunteered to be our guest, to add entertainment to our garden.

Thanks #9 –

The public road works department has repaired 3 broken slabs on the sidewalk’s pavement. Before, nobody could push their bike wheels, trolley wheels, skate scooter wheels, mobility devices across those broken slabs safely. Now, its a breeze.

Thanks #10 –
