Instead of writing one story for each prompt, I was inspired to use all the prompts in one poem because the words seemed to belong to one story.
This is the poem:
Title: A marriage in hand is worth any other
She hated the way her partner handled their relationship.
He was drunken with a new infatuation,
who wore poppies in her long hair.
She failed to realize her previous attempts at blocking his women
failed and he has a new focus
to think about it.
He thought her to be nice
with fragrant odour.
He boiled his marriage in the back burner
He was ambitious and left his bloody mess behind.
Foolishness knows not to despise the glittery desire of sitting in a Boeing
to meet Martha, whose sales pitch was not easy to brush off clean.
He left his wife on her own,
with bitterness illuminating their separation.
He celebrated his freedom with his girlfriend’s porcelain skin.
Friction broke down even this dalliance.
By 2015, white peppers his hair.
Migraine controls his upper apartment.
He is broken.
