If you’ve ever wondered how many authors would be bothered to read reviews of their own books, here is a rough idea, based on data I collected for a small group of 14 authors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If my statistics is anything to go by, it implies roughly 79% of authors don’t read book reviews of their own books. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authors who read book reviews of their own books compose 21%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a book reviewer is sycophantic and expects to make good into the author’s “book of graces” they will be disappointed 79% of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
