There is an English idiom that says, “barking up the wrong tree”. It means attention is given to the wrong area, while the right area is being ignored. This idiom comes from a common occurrence where a dog can loose the scent it was tracking. The scent suddenly disappears and the confused dog barks up the wrong tree, because it thinks that is the location of the prey.

]]>“Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people”. This quote is a writing prompt from Just Start Writing, JSW, at https://athling2001.wordpress.com/2019/06/17/jsw-prompt-6-17-2019/
I agree with this quotation. Sometimes, dreams expose the true desires. Other times, even dreams show inventions to twist truths. The innate wishes of the mind and the desire for wish fulfillment will create distortions. Because of this, dreams may not continue real themes in waking life, but present distortions which are not in line with waking reality.

The picture prompt reminded me of seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It brings to mind stories from people who said they died and saw bright light, before they were returned back to earthly life. Figuratively speaking, the light also prompted me to remember the two occasions when I thought I saw bright balls of light. I had seen in waking reality, or in lucid dreaming, balls of light, which fit the description of orbs. I checked the internet to learn what defined an orb. I discovered it was a ball of light which may be caused by low energy.
