He was standing there with the intention of closing and shutting the window.

Dream interpretation:
He was closing a window of his life. A major episode has ended.

Cultural interpretation of imagery:
Closing a window is not a good sign. It can mean something bad has happened. It can also imply the light (of that person) has been shut.
