The peach is grown in the USA, Italy, Spain, Greece and in countries where the climate favors the growth of this fruit. In some legends, the peach is respected as a fruit of longevity. In old fables, the peach used to be reserved for special people because it supposedly conferred the property of immortality to the consumer. Of course, in modern times, everybody eats the peach without hoping that it would grant immortality.
